The Harvard University Press Display Room

As of June 18th, 2009, the Harvard University Press Display Room has closed its doors.

Established in 1948, the Display Room is Harvard University Press's own bookstore, located in the heart of Harvard Square in the Holyoke Center Arcade.

Here you will find a complete assortment of new releases as well as a wide range of backlist titles. Also available are complimentary seasonal and backlist catalogs, hardcover editions of popular paperbacks, and a small but select group of out-of-stock and out-of-print Harvard titles. Course books, too, can be stockpiled on just a few days' notice.

Another prominent feature of the Display Room is the complete Loeb Classical Library®, the only series which (through original text and English translation) provides access to all that is important in ancient Greek and Latin literature.

Not surprisingly, the most popular section of the Display Room is the reduced-price "Bargain Alcove," where hundreds of slightly-damaged books are sold at half price or less.

The knowledgeable Display Room staff can assist in locating hard-to-find Harvard University Press titles, and is happy to refer the bookbuyer to the many booksellers and publishers at and around Harvard University. You can also check these Web sites for information on out-of-print books:
